Crazy Man on a Bike Rides Again in 2009!
It is with great excitement that I announce my participation in Bike MS: Pedal to the Point 2009! The Bike MS event will take place on August 15th and 16th.
In exchange for the valuable QuickBooks tips you receive in my newsletter and blog, I am asking you to join the movement by making a contribution to support my efforts.
The Pedal to the Point ride is a 2 day cycling event covering a total of 150 miles. As my friend said eight years ago, "that's crazy man!"
The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease. Donations collected for Bike MS continuously fund research for a cure, while also providing services and support for those currently living with MS. I am riding this year because I believe in the mission of the National MS Society. More than 400,000 Americans live with MS and every donation will help us find a cure.
Please help by making a donation. Join me, and together we can create a world free of MS. I greatly appreciate your support and I will keep you posted on my progress.

Alert - QuickBooks Online Backup!
I am definitely a big fan of online backup services. They really help make sure your critical QuickBooks and other business data are protected automatically, and stored off-site. Automatic and off-site storage - 2 keys to any successful backup program.
However, I am not a big fan of products where support is incredibly hard to find and when you do find it, find that the experience is quite frustrating. To me, that is exactly how QuickBooks Online Backup seems to be right now.
Just trying to find this product within the QuickBooks support web site is nearly impossible. Funny how it isn't even listed as an "Other Product" on the site. Even worse, once I did locate the telephone number for support within the product itself, I called it and they said they don't handle support for QuickBooks Online Backup. Worse yet, they then gave me a phone number that got me nowhere.
At this time, I am recommending that my clients that are currently using the QuickBooks Online Backup service migrate to the Mozy Pro backup service instead. Not only is the level of support for the Mozy Pro product significantly better in my experience, it costs less too. The cost for a 10 GB backup plan via Mozy Pro runs $8.95 per month or $107.40 per year (you even get one month at no charge if you sign on for the annual plan!). Compare this to the QuickBooks Online Backup program of $149.95 for a 10 GB storage vault.
